Hey guys,
In 'The Lovely Bookshelf' today I will be reviewing 'Red' by well-known Australian author Lippy Gleeson. This gripping novel is about a young girl who, after a devastating cyclone, has no memory of who she is, where she is, or who her family is. Without giving too much away I will try and give you a little run down of the book.
Red wakes up with no knowledge of her identity or where she is, all she can remember is the cyclone. She is covered in mud and doesn't know what to do. She finds herself wearing a locket and repeating the words 'jaymartin' and realises that this is the only key to her past and how she will get answers.
I really enjoyed reading this book so much that it's been on my bookshelf for about 3 years now. It is so interesting and has a very compelling storyline making it a hard novel to put down. It is full of action, suspense and drama, although it is a very easy read it is still good. And anyway, sometimes it is good to just have a nice, simple read. This thrilling novel is targeted at teenagers with a love for mystery. I highly recommend reading this yourself or suggesting it to a friend.
If you enjoy this section and want to see more I always love getting suggestions of other good books I should read or review. I hope you have had a great weekend, I have Monday off as well but unfortunately the whole weekend will be filled with exam studying :(
Lots of love,
