On Tuesday I got on a plane heading for
Exmouth, which happened to end up in Port Hedland (story for another time),
however we, my sister, Rachael and I, finally got there.
I threw on the flippers and oversized
wetsuit and jumped into the water for some snorkelling in what felt like a
whole other world, an underwater paradise populated by curious looking fish,
colourful clams, vibrant corals and the occasional turtle or shark. I also went
fishing a couple of times... unsuccessfully. I attempted 3 times, and all I had
to show for it was a just-to-size dart fish. The sunny beaches were so nice and
perfect for a little sun-tanning... not too much of course. We also wandered
around a breath-taking gorge with wind in our hair and camera tight in my
hands. As we walked we spotted rock wallabies and birds high up in the nooks
and crannies of the cliff. The whole vacation was an absolute dream, although I
am very happy to be back in my own bed and back with my trusty computer.
These pictures are from my trip and are part of a scrapbook I am
making at the moment. They have been taken with a variety of cameras and by
many people so I hope they turned out alright and you enjoyed this post.
